2008 NFL Draft-Part 1
The NFL Draft is underway! Here’s what I love about the NFL: Roger Goodell comes out right after 3:00 and starts the draft. Not only that, but he announces Jake Long during his opening speech! No more dragging the first pick when it’s already been made. How great is that? The draft really is more TV-friendly under Roger Goodell.
I can already tell ESPN is going to overdo the whole touch-screen thing that was started by news channels during the presidential primaries. Is it still cool, or is it already annoying?
Oh no! Steve Young is working the draft for ESPN! Has Goodell forced ESPN to use him for the draft so that more people will watch the NFL Network?
Young just made his first stupid comment, saying that if the Falcons don’t choose Matt Ryan, they will have to use Mike Vick when he gets out of jail. Seriously? Could you or I just ask ESPN to be a part of their draft coverage? Because apparently, with Young at the desk, that’s all it takes to get the job.
Top 3 looks like this: Jake Long, Chris Long to STL, and Matt Ryan to ATL. Ryan looks like a winning NFL quarterback. He’s tall, obviously smart if he went to school at BC, and good-looking…everything a winning QB needs in today’s NFL.
Keep checking out the site. More draft coverage still to come!
