U.S. at the French Open-Day 6

This is more like it. Americans are dropping out left and right. Only two Americans remain on both the men’s and women’s sides. For the women, Venus and Serena Williams remain. No surprise there. For the men, it’s Robby Ginepri and Wayne Odesnik. That’s a shock. I don’t think anyone expected them to make it to the third round and be the remaining American men in the tournament.

Some probably expected James Blake to be the best American performer at the French. After all, he was the seventh seed. Unfortunately, in my opinion, he’s also the most overrated tennis player currently on the men’s tour.  He lost to Ernests Gulbis in the second round.

Who will last longer, the women or the men?  My money is on the Williams sisters.
